Fuels of the Future – 19th International Conference on Renewable Mobility– 24-28 January 2022

Designing environmentally and climate-friendly mobility for tomorrow: This is the core topic of the 19th International “Fuels of the Future” Conference, which will be held in a digital format from January 24 to January 28, 2022.

In 15 specialist forums, experts will share the latest findings on the transition to a climate-neutral transport sector. The conference is organized by the German Bioenergy Association (BBE) in partnership with other industry associations. The Global Alliance Powerfuels is an official partner of the event and our experts will present insights on the role of powerfuels in de-fossiling transport at the conference.

At the “Fuels of the Future” conference 2022, experts from science, politics and the transport sector will present innovative developments around defossilising the transport sector, and in particular the switch to climate-friendly energy carriers, in 15 digital sessions over five days. The program of the event also includes input presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions.

In total, participants have access to 60 presentations on topics such as the EU’s "Fit for 55" package and the contribution of renewable fuels in achieving European climate protection targets, international trade of alternative fuels, and pathways to scaling up powerfuels from air and water. The content of the entire event will be available in both German and English.

Two experts from the Global Alliance Powerfuels’ project team, Friederike Altgelt and Hannes Salomon, will speak at the conference on Tuesday, January 25, in the session on green hydrogen, giving a presentation on the expected development of powerfuels supply and demand in transport in Germany until 2030.
