Green Hydrogen Summit – 17-18 May 2022

The third annual Green Hydrogen Summit took place from 17-18 May in Lisbon. In more than 10 ses-sions over two days, it examined topics such as regulations and incentives countries are deploying, infrastructure adaptations needed to transport and store hydrogen, and paths to achieving cost-competitive green hydrogen at scale. The conference, organised by Solar Media, brought together government officials, energy suppliers, project developers, investors, utilities and off-takers. The Global Alliance Powerfuels was an official partner of the event. Friederike Altgelt, Project Lead of the Alliance, moderated the session on the bankability of green hydrogen at the conference.

The third annual Green Hydrogen Summit examined different aspects of achieving cost-competitive green hydrogen at scale. The conference provided a comprehensive view of the green hydrogen ecosystem, including the regulations and incentives countries are deploying, the business models for large-scale projects, the infrastructure adaptations needed to transport and store hydrogen, and the fields of applications for hydrogen and other powerfuels.

With an audience made up of government officials, energy suppliers, project developers, debt providers and investors, utilities, TSOs and off-takers, the summit brought together leading experts to share the latest case studies and make the connections to realise the potential of green hydrogen.

The conference was organised by Solar Media. The Global Alliance Powerfuels was an official partner of the event. Friederike Altgelt, Senior Expert, International Hydrogen Markets at the German Energy Agency (dena) and Project Lead of the Alliance, spoke at the conference on Thursday, May 17, moderating the session on achieving bankability of green hydrogen.
